Gallo-Italic of Basilicata : ウィキペディア英語版 | Gallo-Italic of Basilicata
The Gallo-Italic of Basilicata ((イタリア語:Gallo-italico di Basilicata)) is a group of Gallo-Italic dialects found in Basilicata in southern Italy,〔Gerhard Rohlfs, ''Gallo-italienische Sprachinseln in der Basilicata'', «Zeit. roman. Phil.» 51, 1931, pp. 249-279〕 that could date back to migrations from Northern Italy during the time of Normans. These dialects are found in two areas: one near the regional capital of Potenza (in Tito, Picerno, Pignola and Vaglio Basilicata),〔But not in Castelmezzano: see Castelmezzano language.〕 and another on the Tyrrhenian coast (Trecchina, Rivello, Nemoli and San Costantino).〔Patricia Bianchi, Nicola De Blasi, Franco Fanciullo, ''La Basilicata'', in Manlio Cortelazzo, ''I dialetti italiani. Storia, struttura, uso'', Torino 2002, UTET. pp. 757-792 (Italian) 〕 Similar communities have survived in Sicily, speaking "Gallo-italici di Sicilia" dialects. == References ==
